What to expect
Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival & Evening Game Drive
You will be taken to your lodge or camp upon arrival at the Iringa or Ruaha airstrip, where you may settle down and take in the peaceful natural surroundings. Following lunch and a little nap, the afternoon is spent on an evening game drive when you can see animals including elephants, giraffes, antelopes, and possibly lions because they are more active in the cooler hours. You will also take in the breathtaking views of the Great Ruaha River, vast grasslands, and baobab trees along the route. Dinner and an overnight stay at the lodge round out the day.
Day 2: Full Day Safari Adventure
You can witness predators like lions and other animals hunting or moving in the early morning by going on a sunrise game drive. While visiting different areas of the park, you will also see buffalo, giraffes, enormous numbers of elephants, and a variety of bird species. The safari continues via a variety of environments, including wide grasslands, woods, and riverbanks, after breakfast. You will take part in a guided walking safari in the afternoon, when you will discover more about the ecology and view insects, plants, animal trails, and smaller creatures. Dinner and leisure at the lodge mark the conclusion of the day.
Day 3: Wildlife & Cultural Experience
You will continue on another game drive after breakfast, this time concentrating on wildlife-rich areas where you can spot elephants close to the river, sizable antelope herds, buffalo, and perhaps even lions or other predators. You will have a picnic in a beautiful part of the park that is surrounded by the natural world. The experience continues in the afternoon with a trip to a nearby hamlet where you may observe conventional structures and everyday activities while interacting with locals and learning about their way of life and culture. Return to the lodge for dinner in the evening. You can choose to go on a nighttime game drive to see creatures that live at night
Day 4: Departure
After breakfast on the last day, you are able to relax at the lodge and enjoy the scenery or go on a quick morning wildlife drive.
