What You’ll Experience

Welcome and Arrival Briefing

A brief welcome briefing regarding the day's events will be given to those present upon arrival at Bagamoyo. Following that, students will start seeing the several historical sites and museums to learn more about the rich history of Bagamoyo, Swahili civilization, the slave trade, colonial administration, and cultural legacy. From the outset of the tour, guests can begin learning about and experiencing the town's interesting past thanks to this thorough introduction.

Ruins of Kaole

The indigenous peoples of Bagamoyo and the earliest immigrant settlements along the East African coast can be learned about at the Kaole Ruins. Discover more about the early immigrant settlements along the East African coast and the native residents of Bagamoyo by touring the ancient Kaole Ruins. The ruins include historic burial sites, ancient mosques, tombs, an old spring, and the tall baobab tree.

Visit Bagamoyo Snake Park before you leave, where you may see crocodiles, insects, poisonous and non-venomous snakes, and other creatures in a secure and instructive environment. Lunch and bottled water are among the amenities available to visitors.
